The Land Down Under, Australia is one of the world’s top vacation spots for tourists with an adventurous streak.

Australia is the home of amazing tourist attractions such as the Opera House in Sydney, the world famous Great Barrier Reef, the Outback, the Blue Mountains, the Gold Coast, and many more. Because this country’s one of those with the most diverse natural environment, it is a haven for nature lovers and adventurers. It is home to kangaroos, koalas, possums, platypus, and a lot more. Marine life is also so rich – various species of sharks, stingrays, the box jellyfish, Portuguese Man-o-War, etc. Bottom line – Australia is a great place to spend your vacation in, especially if you crave for wildlife adventure with only your backpack!

Yes, Australia is one of the places where a trusty backpack like Paklite’s would be very much welcome. Many who prefer inexpensive vacations will find Australia very suitable for their itinerary. There are gazillions of tourist destinations where you can use buses and trains. And when you use those types of transportation vehicles, a backpack would be most appropriate, as you may know.

If your idea of a backpack vacation is to be a beach bum, Australia has fantastic beaches. Start with Bondi Beach in Sydney. There’s also the  Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast in the north with a variety of aquatic activities and yes, parties! Now if you’d like to see one of the places where an amazing rainforest connects to the beaches and reef, Queensland is the place to go.

You are not to miss the Great Barrier Reef, which is the largest coral reef system in the whole world. This is where you’ll find 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands.

In Western Australia is where you’ll find some great beaches around Broome, Monkey Mia, Shark Bay and Coral Bay. These are the spots where you can do snorkeling with manta rays and whale sharks and dolphin feeding.

Would you like to go to the largest island that is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage? Go to Fraser Island. This is where beautiful beaches, picturesque lakes, old rainforests, crystal clear creeks and colourful rock formations abound.

If you would like to see more of Australia’s tropical islands, Whitsunday Islands is located on the coast of Queensland. From Airlie Beach, it would be a romantic way to arrive to this spot if you go by sailboat. It has the Whitehaven Beach which beautifully changes shade as the light passes over.

What else could a beach addict ask for?
